Allied VC Launches “Allied Explains” Video Series for Startup Founders and Investors

Allied Venture Partners has launched a new series of short explainer videos for startup founders, VCs, and angel investors.

CALGARY, AB (July 30, 2025) - Allied Venture Partners, Western Canada’s largest angel syndicate, today announced the launch of Allied Explains, a new YouTube video series designed to deliver short, insightful explainers on startups, venture capital, and angel investing.

Each 5–10 minute video breaks down complex industry topics—such as fundraising strategies, term sheets, cap tables, investor red flags, and emerging regulatory changes—into clear, actionable insights. The series complements Allied Venture Partners’ existing thought leadership efforts, including the Allied Angels Podcast and the firm’s extensive library of startup guides, articles, and tools.

“Founders and investors are constantly navigating a maze of new terms, financial structures, and market dynamics,” said Matt Wilson, Managing Director of Allied Venture Partners. “With Allied Explains, we want to provide digestible, high-value content that helps entrepreneurs raise smarter and helps investors make more informed decisions.”

The Allied Explains video series is available now on the firm’s official YouTube channel: youtube.com/@AlliedAngels. New episodes will be released weekly, covering both practical startup knowledge and big-picture venture capital trends.
